While Aaron Gwin maintained his domination of the 2011 World Cup out in Mont St Anne, it was young Brit Josh Bryceland that made the headlines, storming into second place just 00.465 of a second back on Gwin. Josh was joined on the podium by fellow young guns Brook Macdonald and Danny Hart while Commencal's Gee Atherton could only look on having blown his tyre off the rim. A mistake by Greg Minnnaar kept him off the podium and back in 18th place, seriously denting any hopes of another World Cup title.

Australian Junior rider Troy Brosnan once again showed his mettle with a solid sixth place finish, showing he's got what it takes for a long and successful career in World Cup racing.
