Maxxis British Championship Rd 5 - Lyng

With the last round at Hawkstone marking the mid point in the championship the series leaders Brad Anderson (MX1) and Stephen Sword (MX2) were looking to extend their points leads at Lyng. Swordy put on a dominant display in the MX2 class chased hard by team mate and ever improving Jake Nichols while Ando traded wins with Kawasaki mounted Gareth Swanpoel to extend his lead in the title chase. Quote of the day came from vet winner and ex MX Des nations winner Rob Herring, "the track here at Lyng hasn't changed in 22 years since i last rode here and that is frightening really". Frightening Indeed. Having said that the sandy circuit at Lyng made for some great racing at times. Take a look for yourselves.
