BANGERS 2012/13 - EPISODE 2

Just in time for Christmas we're set to drop you another awesome package of snowboard and freeski action, all wrapped together in the latest episode of your favourite snow-based show: Bangers.

We begin with a look back at the Burton Tokyo Rail Days, an inner city jib contest corralling together some of the finest rail riders on the planet to throw down for a frothing Japanese crowd. From snowboarding in Japan we take in freeskiing in France at the first White Sessions of 2012 in Val Thorens – a talent show-inspired chance for amateur riders to get the chance to rip with some of Julbo's pro freeskiers and score some banging prizes. Up next we hit Austria for look at the both the rewards and risks associated with freeriding – backed up by some serious faceshots and serious advice – before getting involved with the 10th anniversary edition of the O'Neill Pleasure Jam slopestyle contest on Dachstein's glacier.

This month Bangers also went behind the scenes at the inaugural IF3 – the International Freeski Film Festival – in Innsbruck for a look at what made the event such a success; entered the talented yet warped minds of snowboarders Ethan Morgan and Mario Käppeli and their project, ethanVSmario; got wild mountain biking and skiing with the Nine Knights crew, and wrap it all up by taking a look at two movies from snowboarding's Big Mountain royalty: Jeremy Jones' backcountry epic Further, and Xavier De Le Rue's White Noise from Timeline Films.
