This is my 'Old Skool BMX magazine collection'

http://photo.mpora.com/photo/EszulcjWAs/

These are the 2 oldest from my collection and special because they are issues 4 & 9, respectively, in mint condition and after what happened in 2004 on ebay, they are represent some of the mags I thought I would never get hold of.

In 2004 someone put up for auction the first 11 issues ever printed in mint condition. In the dying few minutes of the auctions the bidding went mad and the cheapest prices one went for was just under the $300 mark, even an adrenaline fueled bid of $250 (can't believe I did that) from myself was not enough. So I figured my chances of owning any of the first 20 would be zero.
But the market has calmed down now and sanity has been restored, so I've managed to get quite a few of the first 20 without breaking the bank.

Todays back ground is dedicated to!!!!! The reason this group was started in the first place - BMX Actions 10th Anniversary Special Edition.

I got this magazine in Dec 1986 and little did I realize how expensive one magazine would prove to be. Not because it cost me a fortune, but the great expense I have gone through trying to collect every issue ever printed.
Like most of us in Europe my access to BMX in print format only really started in 1983, with the odd mag I would later swap with friends from 81 & 82. I very vaguely remember that episode of C.H.I.Ps that featured BMX back in 78 or 79 so any insight into the very early days was a complete no go.
So when BMXA put together this 10 year edition and featured a historical look back from 1977 to 86 it was the coolest thing I had ever seen and was totally blown away by all the old cover shots. This is when I got The (expensively stupid) idea that I would one day own every mag featured on

hey oliverd , can you define more precisely what do you mean by "strong fishing line" ? and how do you use it ??
a couple of good tripod: if you can describe one or two of them , including weight and carrying weight ..
The sanyo xaxti HD is the japanese all in one camera? how is the quality of the frames ? do you have something filmed with that ? I'm planning to buy a gopro to use like a point of view camera, and of course for the supposed durability of that !
